This is too true. Our hope is in the L-rd.
Jesus(Yeshua) said we get according to our 'faith'.
Notice here, He did not say according to our 'need'. Its easy to get into the mentality that we 'deserve something' just because we are in 'need of it'. I know I have had that mentality more times than I care to mention. Oh yes, I used to have the attitude that L-rd I am deserving of this because I need it so much.
Well, this is not how things works. Its only by faith that we receive. Have you ever wondered why some people who don't seem to be half as needy as we feel we are,yet they get the blessings? It seems so unfair doesn't it!!!!
We as humans can complain for decades as to how other people don't help us. We can complain about how strangers don't help us. We can even complained how churches don't help us,especially those churches that we are not a member of & have not contributed any funds to it.
As humans,we get our lives in situations & messes mostly based on our own decisions in life. Then we complain when others don't 'bail us out'. We many times, act like its others that got us into our situations.
Then many of us just have misfortunes in life. It is not our fault. Many times, no one is the blame. Suffering is a part of life. Jesus(Yeshua) said/guaranteed that we shall suffer for righteousness. From this suffering we will be rewarded. Now, for there is suffering due to our behavior or sins. For the suffering that we suffer due to disobedience & sin there is NO reward. However,this is not what I intend to dwell on in this post. This post is about us learning to develop our faith; to change our attitudes about thinking we will get something or deserve something because we are in 'need'.
How do we get 'faith'? It is written in the Word of G-d that 'faith comes by hearing'. This means we are to hear all the Word of G-d that we can possible hear. It means we are to read the Word. We are to speak the Word out loud. We should hang around faith-filled,positve people. Don't hang around negative people for this will not increase your faith by being around them. Read all the faith-based positve books we can find. Listen to the tapes & CD's.
For it is the Word that is going produce faith in our lives. And, its faith in G-d that is going to change things in our lives & provide for all our needs. Not just our needs, but G-d will even give us some desires of our hearts.
The only one who we can truly trust in is G-d. Many people will complain "I don't need prayer, I need money". I posted a prayer for someone on this site and they sent me an email saying "thanks for the prayer but I need money". Now, I see why this person is struggling with no money. For before we see the manifestation in our lives on the outside, we have to have faith in G-d on the inside. For G-d will provide for all of our needs. G-d tells us not to place our trust in men,but in Him. We find out what is the L-rd's will by reading His Word. G-d can provide for us like 'no' man can. He can make a way for us when the way seem utterly impossible.
Alot of times we go through things so that G-d can get our attention or mold us to be what He wants us to be. So, let us not lean on our own understanding. But in all things let us trust in Him.
